How to Customize Clothes on Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is the new chapter in the Nintendo RPG franchise . Already available for Wii U and Switch , the adventure brought several new features, such as the ability to customize the clothes of Link. Check out the step by step to learn how to dye changing the color of the hero's uniform.

Step 1. You can customize Link's clothing at the beginning of the adventure, right after the first few minutes of the campaign. After you have overcome the small initial linear segment and become familiar with the Plateau area, get ready for a long walk.

Your goal is to clear the east side of the map, more specifically the point marked Hateno Village. Team up well to get there without fright;

Step 2. In Hateno Village is the first place where you can customize the clothes of Link. The best way to access the village is from the Dueling Peaks Stable.

Leaving the stable, go down the road to the north until you find a fork. From there, take the right turn and walk up the hill until you reach the small town. If it is lost, search the map to the south of Mount Lanaryu;

Step 3. At Hateno Village, take the main road until you reach the center of the town. Between the houses on the right, your goal is to find the Kochi Dye Shop, whose facade can be seen in the photo below.

Enter the store and talk to Sayge, the character responsible for customizing Link's clothing;

Step 4. Sayge will always charge 20 Rupees for his services, a very high rate considering that he also requires Link to provide his own colors for the clothes.

The dyes are selected in the inventory itself and work as follows: almost all materials collected during the adventure can be converted into dyes, with their main color defining the type of dye to be generated;

Step 5. The materials in inventory Link are divided by black, blue, brown, red, bright red, gray, green, light blue, navy blue, light yellow, yellow, orange, pink, purple and white.


That is, to recreate the look of the traditional green hero costume, just select any green items, such as Hyrule herb, Stamella Shroom, Frog or Lizalfos Tail. The  screen shows a preview of the result, then only confirm the choice of items when you are satisfied with the result. Once used, the items can not be recovered;

Step 6. Even with the loss of the items, simply pay a new fee of 20 Rupees to Sayge make your clothes back to the original color, a good way to correct poor choices.

With the above process, you can make any outfit the game refer to the classic green tunic link, but there is a hard way to get green clothing "official" without scanning amiibo dolls: complete 120 Shrines and the character will be awarded with an exclusive green tunic.
