Xperia XZ Premium or iPhone 7? Compare screen, processor and camera

The Xperia XZ Premium is the new mobile top line of Sony , presented at the Mobile World Congress ( MWC ) in Barcelona. The smartphone is a revamped version of the Xperia XZ , released last year. Among its competitors, is the iPhone 7 because Apple is successful sales worldwide.

To overcome the iPhone, the XZ Premium brings a 4K display of 5.5 inches and a camera with videos in super slow motion. Now compare the main specifications of the iPhone 7 and XZ Premium.

Camera

The iPhone 7 has 12-megapixel rear camera with f / 1.8 , and front 7 MP. But the XZ Premium brings 19 megapixels main camera with aperture of f / 2, and front of 13 MP. The opening favors the iPhone - the numbers indicate much clearer pictures even in darker environments. The camera coupled with the flash tends to surprise.

Both models record in 4K and film in slow motion. The differential Sony device, however, is 960 fps recording, which uses the similar feature brand cameras. On mobile, the technology is called Motion-Eye, which brings Exmor RS sensor and promises a slow motion that can get to freeze a drop of water falling, different from all the camera phones.

Still in the Xperia camera, the device brings the Predictive Capture feature, which starts recording even before the user request: just the machine detects the movement of the scene. The company says that the function can be useful for quick and unmissable moments, saving the initial thousandths of seconds. The iPhone, in addition to the traditional slow motion, has timelapse , HDR and panorama mode.

Storage

On the issue of storage, the Xperia XZ Premium brings 64GB of internal memory, expandable up to 256GB via card microSD . But the iPhone does not support memory cards, so it is available in three versions: 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. Thus, the user can choose the amount it considers sufficient.

Processor and RAM

The model from Sony brings top of the line processor Qualcomm , the Snapdragon 835 and has a RAM of 4 GB. Already the iPhone 7 brings the A10 Fusion chip and 2GB of RAM. Although smaller amount of RAM, the iPhone has a good integration between hardware and software and therefore offers good performance. The Xperia XZ also promises speed and possibility of use of concurrent applications and without crashing, even the heaviest.

Android version

The iPhone 7 comes standard with the latest version of Apple's operating system, the iOS 10 . In the same vein, the XZ Premium comes with the Android 7.0 Nougat . In both cell, the updated platform, coupled with the hardware promises a better use of the equipment performance.

Price

Launched in late 2016, the iPhone 7 hit stores in costing $ 1103 at its cheapest version, 32 GB. The phone, however, can already be found in retail stores for about $ 978. Since Sony introduced the Xperia XZ Premium in February this year, but said its launch price and not the start of sales date.
