Top 10 offline shooting games for PS4, Xbox One and PC
By Games
Call of Duty and Battlefield are some of the most popular shooting games in the gaming industry primarily for meeting the demand for online multiplayer modes. However, when playing offline, there are even more options available. Check out some of the best singleplayer shooting games for PS4, Xbox One and PC that can be played without the need for an internet connection.
Battlefield 1 (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
Probably the biggest surprise of 2016, Battlefield 1 had a stark contrast to its biggest rival, Call of Duty, back to World War I, a theme approached infrequently for games. In addition to bringing a closer FPS basics experience, the game stunned to bring small anthology-style stories instead of a great epic campaign, which allowed deeper stories about the war to be presented.

Wolfenstein: The New Order (2014 - PS4, XOne, PS3, X360, PC)
Just as the 1992 Wolfenstein 3D was for the original Doom of 93, Wolfenstein: The New Order was a gateway to what would become the new Doom of 2016. In a time that shooting games focused on multiplayer mode , Wolfenstein: The New Order brought back the highlight of the single player campaign.
The adventure itself is like a reimagined version of the classic Return to Castle Wolfenstein, with a dystopian future dominated by the Nazi regime and a small resistance that tries to overthrow it.

Doom (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
The title that really revitalized the world of single player shooting games was a reboot of the classic Doom series, which brought back all the frenetic action of the original game with an extra dose of violence.
While most titles invested in deep stories and immersion as if the player were in a movie, Doom throws everything up and embraces his side game with pure action, full of intense shootings against hordes of enemies.

Titanfall 2 (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
One of the best shooting games released in 2016, Titanfall 2 did not receive due attention for having been in the middle of other major releases. Unlike the first game that just owned multiplayer, Titanfall 2 introduced an incredible single player campaign with the same fluid gameplay of online fighting and its fun gigantic robots in a story of war and survival.

Far Cry 4 (2014 - PS4, XOne, PS3, X360, PC)
After the success of Far Cry 3 Ubisoft took the franchise formula to its climax with Far Cry 4 , an open-world shooting game that allowed players to face their campaign at their own pace through parallel missions, upgrades and more.
The game takes place in Kyrat, a fictional country in the Himalayas dominated by the dictator Pagan Min, a disturbed villain who will take players on a deep journey on the protagonist's motivations.

Shadow Warrior (2013 - PS4, XOne, PC)
Reboot of the classic Shadow Warrior of 97, the new game has rescued some of the classic FPS values with a very action-oriented campaign and frantic fighting. The great difference of Shadow Warrior is that the fights unfolded as much with firearms as also in duels of sword when approaching the enemies, which varied between mafiosos and demons.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare still features a high-level campaign with space action like never before seen in other games. A novelty that the game introduces is a kind of hub, called Retribution, in which they can choose to perform parallel missions beyond the traditional missions of history to obtain extras for their special ship and more.
To top it off, there's still the fun 80's retro-themed Zombies mode, which can be played offline and split-screen.

BioShock: The Collection (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
The classic BioShock series had its three games re-released for the current generation of consoles with some improvements. The collection with titles such as BioShock, BioShock 2 and BioShock Infinite bring a dystopian world in which players need to survive in cities that have isolated themselves from society and developed in bizarre ways with questionable ethics and even superpowers.
In addition to offering great entertainment with deep stories and character development, the game features iconic fighting against the Big Baddys, powerful and optional creatures in the game.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered (2016 - PS4, XOne, PC)
The remake of the classic Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare updated the look of the game that defined an entire generation of first-person shooter games. The fourth title of the Call of Duty series was what elevated the series to its current status by bringing a more modern war theme, while most explored only World War II.

Fallout 4 (2015 - PS4, XOne, PC)
The classic series that mix RPG and shot had its fourth chapter in this generation with some very significant news, such as the possibility to create their own bases. Typically, Fallout games already feature an incredibly deep and long adventure thanks to its many side quests, its huge open world and RPG elements, but Fallout 4 goes a long way.
The game has removed the level limits and allows users to continue to grow stronger as long as they are willing to play.
